Tamim doubtful for one-off Test

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is likely to miss the one-off Test match against Afghanistan due to a back injury.
Tamim was seen discomfiting during the practice session ahead of the lone Test match. After the warm-up, Tamim came indoors and batted for a while with the net bowlers. He did not practice for two consecutive days due to injury as well.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said that Tamim is being monitored and the final decision on whether he will appear in the match will be taken the day before.

"His pain cannot be understood without practice. He is being monitored. He will be observed by the physio and coaches. The final decision about his presence will be taken the day before the match," said Debashish.

Bangladesh are already without their regular captain Shakib al Hasan if Tamim can't recover from his injury the Tigers' performance might get hindered without the experienced players.
The one-off Test is set to be played from June 14-18 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
