The Bangladesh Emerging Women’s Team will participate in the ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 in Hong Kong from 10-22 June 2023. The side will leave Dhaka for Hong Kong on 10 June.
Veteran Lata Mondol got the responsibility to lead the Emerging Team for Asia Cup. Batter Sobhana Mostary will be the vice-captain.
Almost everyone in the Bangladesh squad like captain and vice-captain are from national team cricketers. Shathi Rani, the only batter in the 14-man squad, has never played in the national team.

It is basically an under-23 tournament. However, there is an opportunity to have a certain number of senior cricketers in the squad. Captain Lata got a place in that quota. National team's experienced left-arm spinner Nahida Akhtar is also in this squad.
Bangladesh will play against Malaysia on June 12, Sri Lanka on June 14 and United Arab Emirates on June 16 in Group B of the tournament.
The four teams in Group 'A' are India, Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong. The top two teams from the two groups will play in the semi-finals on June 19.
