Nannu informed that Bangladesh will play many series and assess the finest players before the World Cup. Bangladesh are set to host Afghanistan in June while there is also a possibility for New Zealand and South Africa series after Asia Cup.

"No decision will be made hastily. We have consecutive series. We are proceeding with these series to assemble the best squad possible,” said Nannu.

“When Hathurusingha joined as a coach, he inquired about all the players, their performance and everything. We also have a responsibility to examine the cricketers. How have they performed in the last three years? These are the things the coach wanted to know,” he said.
Bangladesh has formed a pool of 24 cricketers for the World Cup, according to Nannu, no players have been sidelined and are under observation.
"We have a 24 man pool. There are several other cricketers, notably Sohan. He was taken when he was required. None of the cricketers in our pool were caught off guard. So there's no need to be concerned. It's the National Pool, and everyone was being watched," he added.
