10 Dec 24Bangladesh U19 face a four-wicket defeat against Pakistan U19 in the one-off T20 match at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium(SKS), Rajshahi, on Wednesday.
The visitors chased down the target of 160 runs in six wickets and 19.1 overs. Opener Shaymal Hossain top-scored with 67 runs to crush the hopes of the young Tigers.
Shymal took 49 deliveries to score 67 runs with seven boundaries and a six while Arafat Ahmed Minhas played a swashbuckling innings off 41 off 22 which featured seven 4’s and a six.

The duo added 56 run partnership that anchored the side reach closer to the target, however, they could not finish the match as Emon Hossain scalped both within a couple of overs.

Ali Asfand scored the winning runs to secure a four-wicket win against the hosts. Emon was the pick of the bowling attack for Bangladesh taking three for 23 runs in his four overs.
Jishan Alam’s fiery knock of 52 off 26 with a strike rate of 200.0 propelled Bangladesh to post 159-5 in the accumulated 20 overs while batting first.
Despite a good start, Bangladesh fell behind on run rate and kept losing wickets at regular intervals after a 72-run opening stand.
Ariful Islam and Moinul Islam contributed with 30 and 21 runs but that was not enough to secure a competitive target ahead of Pakistan.
For Pakistan, right-arm spinner Ahmed Hussain picked up a couple of wickets.
