Shakib Al Hasan cleared to bowl again after action assessment
23 hrs agoFormer England captain Kevin Pietersen stated that he is absolutely gutted for Jofra Archer's future who was ruled out of the English summer following the recurrence of a stress fracture in his elbow.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Tuesday that Archer was ruled out of the English summer, which includes the much-anticipated Ashes series on Tuesday.

"I'm gutted for Jofra. Absolutely gutted. I think this will probably end his journey with English cricket," Pietersen.

Pietersen advised Archer to focus on managing his workload and play selective international cricket as he incurred most injuries concerns since the 2019 World Cup.
"I know that there are reports around a franchise contract, and that would be the smartest thing for him to do now. Take six months to recover, select a few tournaments to play, and bowl at the speed of light for a few months of the year. He would earn good money and still have a career in the game," he added.
The pacer made his comeback to international cricket after almost two years in January. However, he could feature in four ODIs, three T20Is and five IPL games only.
