West Indies 'A' scored 220 for 2 after winning the toss against Bangladesh 'A' on a rain-hit first day of the first unofficial Test in Sylhet. The game was stopped after 68 overs due to rain and stopped for the rest of the day.
Opener Kirk McKenzie got out for 86 runs off 124 balls with 11 fours and a six. Tagenarine Chanderpaul, who was the epitome of patience, remained not out for 70 runs off 190 balls.

Among the three pacers of Bangladesh, only Musfik Hasan was the most economical bowler with one for 15 from 11 overs, while another pacer Ripon Mandal could not do much.
Rezaur Rahman Raja was the most costly as the bowling of this pacer, who has been with the Test team for the last one and a half years, wasn’t impressive. He conceded 60 runs in 11 overs of bowling.
Captain Afif Hossain could not trust leg spinner Rishad Hossain after giving 12 runs in 2 overs in his first spell. After conceding 12 runs in 2 overs in the last session, he was not given to bowl again.
The wickets on the first day were not suitable for the spinners. Off-spinner Naeem Hasan, who was dropped from the Test team, did not do well as he gave 54 from 18 overs.
