19 Mar 25Tamim Iqbal, the captain of Bangladesh, received two signed bats from Essex County Cricket Club and Cricket Ireland as these bats will be offered as auction prizes to generate money for those impacted by tropical cyclone ‘Mocha’, a Cyclone that has devastated the coasts of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
CEO of the Essex Club John Stephenson and Chairman of Cricket Ireland Brian MacNiece presented the bats to Tamim.

"Everyone at Essex Cricket is devastated to hear of the cyclone in South Asia. We send our best wishes to the people of Bangladesh and those here at The Cloud County Ground today with families in Bangladesh," a tweet by the Essex CCC read.

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Ireland by just five runs in the third one-day international at Chelmsford on Sunday. The victory gave Bangladesh a 2-0 win, with one washout, in the three-match series.
