Once more, Towhid Hridoy's strike rotation and boundary hitting were excellent. The Ireland bowlers didn't really bother him or Shanto. The fourth-wicket partnership of 131 runs off 18 overs provided a match winning partnership. In his 58-ball-68, Hridoy hit three sixes and five fours.
After Shanto's departure, Bangladesh still needed 63 runs off 49. Mehidy Hasan Miraz had a quick 12-ball-19 and hit three outfielders. He was dismissed in the 40th over, leaving Mushfiqur to complete the remaining 34 runs form 32.
Bangladesh eventually won the battle of nerves, courtesy of the 28-ball 36 by Mushfiqur who got the necessary support from Taijul Islam and Shoriful Islam.
