Ireland cancels Afghanistan series due to budget constraints

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the schedule of the three-match ODI series at home against Afghanistan.
Afghanistan will arrive in Sri Lanka on May 29 and the three matches will be played on June 2, 4 and 7 respectively. All the matches will be played at the MRIC Stadium in Hambantota.
The last time Afghanistan visited Sri Lanka for an ODI series was in November 2022.
With a 60-run victory in the first ODI, Afghanistan upset Sri Lanka. After the second match ended in a tie, Sri Lanka came back to win the third ODI by four wickets to tie the series.
In addition, the series will see the return of men's international cricket to Hambantota, which last hosted an ODI game in February 2020.

Afghanistan will visit Bangladesh for a complete series after competing with the Lankans.
