27 Mar 25Bangladesh women suffered a batting collapse to loose rain-hit second ODI against Sri Lanka as the home side won the match by 58 runs in Colombo on Thursday. The hosts lead the three-match series 1-0.
As per the initial schedule, this match was supposed to be the third and final match of the ODI series. But as the first two matches were washed away by rain, the schedule was changed by agreement between the two teams. Now the last match will be next Sunday. There is no change in the T20 series schedule.

Even today the rain affected the match too. Sri Lanka won the toss and batted in a match reduced to 30 overs and scored 186 runs for 5 wickets. Bangladesh were bowled out for 128 runs.

Captain Chamari Athapaththu played an innings of 64 runs with 4 sixes and 6 fours for the Lankans. Harshitha Samarawickrama remained unbeaten on 45 runs with 2 sixes and 1 four.
After that, Oshadi Ranasinghe took 5 wickets for 34 runs to wrap up the Tigresses.
Among the batters of Bangladesh, only two can cross the twenty mark. Skipper Nigar Sultana scored 37 with 2 sixes and 1 four for the highest score. 24 runs came from the bat of Fargana Haque with 2 fours.
