All-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a hamstring injury.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took to Twitter to announce his exclusion. “Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Speedy recovery, Washi”

Sundar’s withdrawal comes as a massive blow to the Sunrisers who are lagging at the bottom of the points table with just two wins in their last five games.
SRH has four points and will take on fellow struggler Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
Sundar has played 58 IPL matches and scored 378 runs and also picked up 36 wickets till date. He played nine matches in the previous season to score 101 runs at an average of 14.42 and pick six wickets at an average of 39.83.
SRH have not announced whether they will seek a replacement for Sundar for the remaining season.
