India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is set to miss the Asia Cup and 2023 ICC ODI World Cup as he still is away from full recovery following a horrible car accident in December 2022.
The 25-year-old will also be missing the World Test Championship (WTC) final to be played against Australia in England.

Pant will likely undergo another surgery, and it will take him another six-eight months to get match ready.
"The general impression is that he is recovering faster than anticipated, but it will take seven to eight months to be cricket-fit. That said it could take even longer for him to do the wicketkeeping and the initial comeback period will have to be solely as a batter, which is still considered an asset," Cricbuzz reported.
Pant was ruled out of the ongoing IPL 2023 owing injuries incurred during a car accident. David Warner was named as the captain of the squad. Bengal's wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel replaced Pant in the team.
