Players' union calls for reform of 'chaotic' global cricket calendar

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the schedule for the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which is starting on January 6.

The BPL is set to begin with a match between Chittagong Challengers and Sylhet Strikers.

The first phase of the game will be played in Dhaka until January 10. Then, BPL teams will move to Chittagong. The Chittagong phase will initiate on January 13 to 20.

BPL will return again in Dhaka on January 23 and 24, the Sylhet phase will be played from January 27. After that, all the remaining matches of BPL will be played in Dhaka. 

The eliminator and first qualifier matches will be held on February 12. The second qualifier match is on February 14. Then the final will take place on February 16.
