Bangladesh secured a last-over thriller against Zimbabwe by 3 runs in their Super-12s match of the T20 World Cup at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, on Sunday.

Defending a fighting total of 151 runs, the bowlers held their nerve and were able to restrict ominous Zimbabwe to 147-8.

Mussaddek was handed to do the last over required 16 runs. Everyoner believed that Bangladesh had won when Blessing Muzarabani, needing five to win, was stumped trying to hit a six off the last ball and left the field.

But a review showed wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan's gloves taking the ball in front of the stumps, which is illegal, and it was called a no-ball.

The teams had to return to the field for a free hit with four needed to win, but Muzarabani swung and missed again which led Bangladesh to obtain their second win in the tournament.

Then Shanto and skipper Shakib took the charge of the game, adding 54 run partnership for the third wicket as Shakib departed on 23 runs.
