West Indies clinched the first Test match against Bangladesh at Chattogramm and took a 1-0 series lead. Kyle Mayers historical innings of 210 runs helped the visitors to chase a huge target of 395 runs. He was named as the player of the match.The partnership of 216 runs between Nkrumah Bonner and Mayers propelled the Windies to snatched the victory. Mayers and Rahkeem Cornwall closed the match with the win.
After Bonner and Jermaine Blackwood departed ,Joshua Da Silva joined the crease with Mayers. They made a partnership of 100 runs anchored the innings for the victory. Joshua returned scoring 20 runs being bowled by Taijul.
West Indies lost 2 wickets after returning from the tea break. Right arm spinner Nayeem Hasan bowled Blackwood who scored 9 runs. Although, Bonner-Mayers kept the host wicketless for two sessions.Taijul broke the partnership as he returned Bonner(86) by trapping the ball in the leg before.

West Indies reached 197/3 before Lunch. Windies batsman Kyle Mayers (103*) and Nkrumah Bonner (86) made the partnership of 167 runs.Bonner accompanied his partner and made a patient half century. While, debutant Mayers completed his maiden century of his Test career .

Earlier, in the day they resumed on 110/3 , with two set batsmen. Mayers and Bonner made the host toil during the first session.
Due to failure of the fielders , spinners could not take any wickets during the first session, although Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul and Nayeem created several opportunities.Nazmul Hossain Shanto missed a catch in the slip of Mayers on 49 .
On Saturday, Bangladesh declared its second innings on 223-8 and set the target of 395 runs. Skipper Mominul Haque made his 10th test century. Shakib Al Hasan, did not take part in the Test afterwalking off with a groin injury on day two. Mehidy Hasan made a century and took 3 wickets.
