Rashid Khan is one of the most economical spinners in world cricket and with 55 wickets in three seasons, he is one of the best bowlers in the IPL as well. But the star spinner from Afghanistan shared that his focus is not on taking wickets but bowling economically too.

Meanwhile, the world number one T20 bowler will be seen in Orange jersey for Sunrisers Hyderabad and he said that he never thought about taking wickets as well but bowling economically is his priority. His best bowling in IPL came at an economy of 6.55 and at an average of 21.69 as well.

"My focus is always bowling economically well for the team. When I bowl economically it helps the bowlers on the other end to take wickets," Rashid Khan said during a media interaction ahead of their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). "I concentrate on bowling dot balls and putting pressure on the batsman so he can take risks. My focus is the team's requirement, what helps the team is important to me."

However, he revealed that he has five variations in bowling which he uses to trouble the batsmen. Meanwhile, he has been working on a new delivery but wouldn’t use in the IPL as of now.

"I have 4-5 grips. I bowl them according to the wicket based on the reaction of the wicket. Those five grips help me to bowl differently as each one pitches differently. I keep mixing it up. I have those varieties and I need to use them well. I use my fingers and shoulders a lot to generate the pace," he expressed.
