Bangladesh T20 skipper Mahmudullah said that former head coach Chandika Hathurusingha transformed him into a believer to hit the ball from the very first ball in the shortest format of the cricket.
Mahmudullah is not only the current skipper of the T20I team but also the dependable finisher of the team for the last three, four years and the right-hand batsman gives the credit of his this transformation to the former Sri Lankan.

‘’If you say about the last three, four years of batting then I do remember we had a camp with Hathu [Chandika Hathurusingha] probably in Khulna. Just before the T20 World Cup [2016]. So in that time, I had an opportunity to work with him personally. That session basically helped me a lot in both mentally and on my skill hitting prowess of how I can hit a ball and score some run at that time," Mahmudullah told Tamim Iqbal during a live Instagram session on Sunday.
The T20 skipper added that before that session he might have taken few deliveries before hitting the ball, but after the training, he can go down to the crease and have that believe in him to skill hit from the very first ball.
"Because before that, I might have taken time by playing one or two ball, but after that, I'm confident enough that I can go and play shots from the very first ball. I personally believe that training was very important for me," Mahmudullah concluded.
