Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad said on Friday that they need to put aside Mushfiqur Rahim absence in the T-20 series against Pakistan.

Mushfiqur Rahim is the most successful batsman for Bangladesh in all three formats of the game and he has opted out of the series against Pakistan for family and security reasons.

Bangladesh has missed his presence of Mushfiqur Rahim in the first t-20 matches against Pakistan where none the middle-order batsman could hit the big shots and eventually lost the match in a  very sluggish wicket at Gaddafi stadium.

Mahmudullah knows very well that they missed the service of the experienced middle-order batsman in the match.

‘’We always missed the service of Mushfiqur Rahim. He has been an experienced campaigner for us. He is the top performer in all three formats of the game for Bangladesh’’ Mahmudullah told reporters at the post-match at Lahore on Friday.

However Mahmudullah feels Bangladesh team have to look for other alternative resources to cover up Mushfiqur Rahim absence in the future matches of the series.

‘’Mushfiqur Rahim is not here with us now and we can’t just sit back thinking about his absence. I feel that we need to focus on things we can achieve and take these opportunities and perform really well,” he said.
