Will Mashrafee bin Murtaza end his journey in the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe as it will be the first time he will have a chance to play at home soil after the World Cup.
Mashrafe played his last international match against Pakistan in World Cup 2019 as though he was ready to play against Sri Lanka in the last minute he had to opt out due to injury.
There was whisper about his retirement after the last match in the World Cup but at the last minute he had to change his mind due to insistence of the Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan as he said at that time Mashrafe will retire in home condition and if necessary they will organize a special match for his last international match.

Bangladesh has not played any ODI match after the World Cup in Bangladesh and they only had three 50-over matches in Sri Lanka.
Zimbabwe is scheduled to arrive in February to play in Bangladesh.
While Zimbabwe is arriving earlier than scheduled there were also changes in the formats as earlier they were scheduled to play one Test and five T-20 matches but in the latest change iterinary there is two ODI’s and three T20 along with the Test match and this change is raising speculation whether it will be a farewell series for Mashrafee.
BCB has not said anything about Mashrafe retirement and its media committee chairman Jalal Yunus told the reporters about their stance in this regard.
“We cannot decide anything about Mashrafe retirement. He should take his own decision and he deserves a big farewell from us,’’ he said.
There is also some confusion over Mashrafe central contract issue as whether he will be available for all the matches is very much in doubt due to his other commitments.
