Tamim, Perera steers Dhaka to 180-7

Tamim Iqbal and Thisara Perara help Dhaka score 180 runs against Cumilla at Sher-e- Bangla National  Stadium in the 6th match of this year’s  Banghubandhu Bangladesh premier league.


Dhaka lost Anamul Haque in the first ball of the match. Mehidy Hasan has been sent in pinch-hitting roles for Dhaka but failed as he scored only 12 runs in 17 balls.


Tamim and Evans had a 75 runs partnership which steadied Dhaka innings.


Tamim was watchful in the early part of the innings but he brought up his 50 runs in 40 balls. Tamim was dismissed after his 53ball-74, studded by four  fours and six boundaries. Tamim and perara had a48 runs partnership of just 15 balls.

Perara scored a brisk 42 runs off 17 balls. Perara hit seven boundaries and one over the boundary.


Off-spinner Mujeebi was key in Cumilla bowling, claiming 2-15in four overs. He was ably supported by Saumyo Sarker and  Shanka but both of them were expansive in their four overs.
