Bangladesh Cricket Board can take leaf from BCCI when it comes to maintaining the venues as the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot proves proper maintenance can keep anything in the right order.
Whereas BCB finds it hard to put up a decent show as far keeping a venue in order the SCA stadium located at the outskirt of the city
It seemed green carpet was placed inside the venue and the way they have managed to keep it clean only implied that they are maintained on a regular basis.
While BCB had been having issues maintaining the chairs inside the stadium as neither it does remain clean all the time nor it is always in proper condition, it was quite opposite at the stadium situated far from the city.

Whether it is Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna or Sylhet whenever grounds maintenance issue is raised BCB always comes up with an excuse that they cannot properly maintain it because of excessive matches being played at those respective venues.
However that is not the case when it comes to SCA despite it is not very popularly known as they have hosted only couple of matches.
According to SCA secretary Himangshu Saha they are excited to host Bangladesh while added that have been maintaining the stadium through agencies to keep everything in order.
‘’This stadium is functional since 2013 for all formats including IPL matches,’’ Saha told reporters at the SCA on Tuesday.
‘’We have two Test matches then some one day and T20 also.
This is the first time Bangladesh is coming to play here is Rajkot. So there’s a good excitement among the association and also the spectators,’’ he said.
When asked how they managed to keep the stadium so neat and clean, Saha said that though there are regular staffs of BCCI they are doing the job through agencies to make sure that there is someone accountable to them whenever any question is raised
‘’We have some agencies for housekeeping. And we have permanent ground staff and everything. So everything together 15-200 people working,’’ said Saha.
‘’Basically, we have long domestic season. We have many domestic matches being played here. So we have three-four ground in Rajkot. I would say about 200 days this ground is busy,’’ he said.
‘’We have many men women, boys tournament, starts from under-16, under-23 many formats- so there are lots of domestic matches,’’ he said adding that they have 12 wickets in centre while added that there net is one of the biggest in India where they have about 28 net wickets.
