Bangladesh national cricketers seemed to have boycotted national ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza as he was not part of them while they placed 11-point demand at the BCB academy premises on Monday.

According to sources close to Mashrafee, the ODI’s skipper was not called by his national team mates to join him in the two and a half hour meeting arranged by his national team mates at the indoor before coming up to express their demand in front the media later.

It was quite surprising considering Mashrafee had been very vocal whenever players were required to be heard for pressing their demands earlier.

The cricketer cum politician who is also member of the parliament is currently having a very low key time as far as his cricket activity is concerned as he is busy spending his time at Narail from where he is elected as the member of the parliament.

‘’Where was Mashrafee when they placed the demand,’’ asked an influential board director on request of not to be named on Sunday.

‘’Does this imply there is no place for him in the national dressing room or is it that we will think there is a rift going around and the national cricketers are divided into two groups,’’ he further added.

Bangladesh's upcoming tour of India, starting November 3, is now in doubt as the players of the national side called for a press conference in Dhaka and announced that they will not take part in any cricketing activities unless a 11-point demand made to the cricket board is met. This also means they will not partake in the ongoing National Cricket League season, as well as the upcoming camp for the tour of India.

Senior players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal were all present at the press conference that also had a big group of first-class cricketers standing by in support.
