Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin said on Tuesday that Bangladesh can take confidence from the recent tour of Sri Lanka ahead of the upcoming India tour as they played well in trying condition.

Bangladesh won the one-day series in very tough conditions in Sri Lanka and had drawn in the rain-affected two four-day games.

Minhajul was accompanying the team and saw the matches very closely and was impressed with the attitude of the boys in the island.

‘’Overall a team performance was good in Sri Lanka. Condition was very hard there and after rescheduling of the matches due to wash out of the first couple of games. We had to travel a long distance every day and tough but at the end the boys stood up bravely,’’ Minhajul told reporters at the BCB premises on Tuesday.

‘’We always don’t get up to the mark result in abroad.  So the players who have gone there, they all played really well. And this experience in abroad I hope it will help in India,’’ he said. Because they game we play at home soil, we cannot do the same in aboard,’’ he said.
