Bangladesh Cricket Board chief selector Minhajul Abedin said that he is satisfied with the performance of the players in the just concluded four-day match series against Sri Lanka ‘A-Team’.

Minhajul added that the only area of concern for them is the way their bowlers bowled in the second innings as he feel they still have lacking even though the bowlers took 20 wickets in the flat deck.

“Both the matches had been held on a flat track. Even though batting was so good, bowling especially second innings of the two matches was not up to the mark,” said Minhajul.

“It is really tough to claim 20 wickets on flat deck. Therefore, our bowlers have to learn bowl well in the second innings,’’ he said.

‘’We have lacked in this place what we should need to improve to fare well in the longer version cricket,” Nannu told media.

Minhajul showered praises on players to evaluate them personally the likes of players –Mominul Haque, Shadman Islam Anik, Mehidy Hasan Miraj and Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury.

“Mominul and Shadman did batting well. In bowling, Miraj bowled in right places reducing his short deliveries. Even, Ebadot has developed than the past,” the chief selector viewed.

The two four-day matches between Bangladesh ‘A Team’ and its Sri Lanka counterparts have been ended in draws.  Due to rains, the first four-day match had been rescheduled and turned it to be a three-day affair.
