The upcoming edition of National Cricket League will welcome a lot of former stars turn coaches as they are all set to make their debut with the traditional first-class tournament, scheduled to start from October 10.
Former Bangladesh middle-order batsman Rajin Saleh, who had retired from all forms of cricket in the previous year, will be making his debut as the head coach for the Sylhet Division in NCL.
Rajin, who completed his level-2 coaching from England in 2011, previously worked as an assistant coach for Comilla Victorians in the 2017 Bangladesh Premier League but it will be his first stint as head coach of a domestic club.

‘’I had interest in coaching for many years and I also made my own academy eight years back and I am looking forward to take up the challenge in NCL,’’ said Rajin.
Former national batsman Aftab Ahmed will be making his debut as head coach by guiding the Chittagong outfit in NCL.
The former national star had been doing coaching in different capacities before coming into the limelight by making his presence felt as a coaching prospect by guiding Legends of Rupganj a long way in the last edition of Dhaka Premier League.
‘’Actually, this is a big thing[guiding Chittagong in NCL as head coach] and I really want to work hard and establish myself in this position so that I can go to the next levels step by step,’’ said Aftab when his attention was drawn about his new role in Chittagong Division team.
Former pace bowler Talha Zubair, who is also working as a coach at different platforms, will be guiding the Dhaka Metro in NCL and he said that he is looking forward of having the national team players in the first two round of the NCL.
‘’Mahmudullah Riyad will be playing for us and everybody is excited to have him in the dressing room,’’ said Talha with a confident tone.
NCL can be the best platform for these young coaches to dream of coaching the Bangladesh national side.
