Bangladesh all-rounder Mossadek Hossain said on Tuesday that too many chopping puts pressure on the members of the team.

Bangladesh lost to Afghanistan in their last match and the magnitude of the defeat was such whopping that Bangladesh brought up wholesale changes to their squad for the third and fourth match of the series.

Five players were included while four players were excluded from the previous squad that was announced for the first two matches.

‘’When there are changes in teams, then it is always difficult if not performing. A player knows clearly that if he is not performing it is very difficult to stay in the team. Sp there are changes in the team, so I cannot really say because there is management, coaches and team for that and they can say better about it. I think I should not say anything about it,’’ Mossadek told reporters adding that they need to enhance their skill.

‘’Skill is very important in T20 cricket. Their maximum spinners are wrist spinners so you can’t hit six and fours whenever you want. I think the executions we are doing most of them are perfect but maybe there were some lacking in some areas. Maybe that’s why, for the small gaps, we are losing the matches. If we can minimize these gaps and overcome as soon as possible, it will be better for us,’’ he said.

Mossadek added that they are not taking any pressure of playing the final by turning the match into do-or-die affair though in reality it is the case as a loss will only make their chances slim to participate in the final.

‘’We should play the match to win, not like we will play to set the final,’’ he said adding that they have to accept the criticism.

‘’When we play well, there is a different atmosphere but when we lose the criticism is in other way, so we try to skip as much as possible. Focus on myself. And then we think about cricket more to overcome the situation and escape out of that (criticism) as soon as possible. I try to give less attention to the social media so that I can be out of these,’’ he concluded.

With Shakib al Hasan not keen to take on the leadership role,  names of Mossadek is also in the discussion table to take up the helm, though he said he is yet to think anything about it.

‘’Now with current situation- not able to think about what is going to happen,’’ Mossadek said regarding the captaincy talks.

‘’There is management for that, they can say it better.  And for contribution, everyone has started performing and trying to contribute.  A player cannot play well every day. So when I play I will think how much I well can contribute for the team. So now I am focusing it,’’ he said.

‘’I don’t know about it[ captaincy] at all. So if anything happens like this, they will definitely talk to me before. Then I will discuss of course,’’ he said.
