Bangladesh will take on mighty India in the U19 Asia Cup final which will take place at R. Premadasa Stadium on Saturday
In fact no semifinal game was possible at both venues due to heavy rain and the games were called off at 2:15pm local time.
India with three wins in the group stage had topped Group ‘A’ while Bangladesh, who had remained unbeaten in their group, had topped Group ‘B’. Hence both teams qualified for the finals.
While Sri Lanka would have found India to be too strong to their liking, Afghanistan will be ruing their chances as their bowling had looked formidable throughout the tournament. Afghanistan had beaten Pakistan in their opening game and nearly overcame India as well in the group stage.
