Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon said that they are going to appoint a new head coach for the national team within 10 days. Many of the coaching posts of the Bangladesh team are left vacant now following BCB’s reluctant to extend the tenure of the past coaches after the World Cup.
After poor World Cup performance, BCB and Steve Rhodes parted ways. From then, BCB is trying to find a new coach for the Tigers. Bangladesh played their three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka under interim coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon. They were left shock in the series by losing all three matches.

BCB president said it's possible to appoint a head coach right now. But they don't want any hustle regarding this, so they will let everyone know when the whole process is complete.
"The thing about coach may take two weeks or 10 days maximum. If we want, we can appoint him now. But we won't do that, we will talk first. Then we will make the final selection. We will announce the name on the day of selection," Said Papon on Monday in front of the reporters.
BCB has already appointed two new bowling coaches for the Tigers. They have appointed former South African pacer Charl Langeveldt as the pace bowling coach of Bangladesh and former New Zealand Captain Daniel Vettori as the new spin bowling consultant.
