Indian Captain Virat Kohli believes the absence of MS Dhoni is a big opportunity for young wicket-keeper batsman Risabh Pant. Dhoni is currently on leave as he is serving the Indian Army and Pant has replaced him in the West Indies series.
Kohli believes it’s a great opportunity for someone like Pant to establish his place in the team. He believes, Dhoni's experience is very important for the Indian team but the absence of Dhoni is a great opportunity for Pant to show his talent also.

"It's a great opportunity for someone like Rishabh Pant to really play a lot of international cricket, show his credentials, really unleash his potential at this stage. We know how much ability he has and we all want him to become a consistent performer for the Indian cricket team," Said Kohli at the press conference.
"MS's experience is always going to be a very crucial factor but having said that some of these younger guys have a great opportunity ahead of them and they should just look forward to it," added Kohli.
Along with Dhoni all-rounder Hardik Pandiya is also in rest. At the absence of these two finishers, Kohli wants Pant to take the responsibility.
" We dont have finishers like Hardik and Dhoni in this series. But their absence is, of course, an opportunity for the young players. Pant is also waiting for the right opportunity," concluded Kohli.
