Coach Mohammad Salauddin, who supervises many teams in domestic league, believes Bangladesh is giving too much leeway to some players just because they are talented. Salauddin believes it's the right time to find the alternative of Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, and Mohammad Mithun.
Apart from Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, all the other Bangladeshi batsmen were out of form in the World Cup and also in the recently conluded Sri Lanka series. That had an adverse impact on Bangladesh's recent performances also. That's why the renowned Bangladeshi coach believes it's the right time to find alternatives now.

"They are lucky that we are playing them by saying they are talented. How long you will play them just because they are talented? Will you people call them talented when they will retire also," Salauddin said, posing a question at a private TV channel.
"As Tamim didn’t score runs or played a big innings, it was a big setback. Soumya, Sabbir, Mithun those who are playing couldn’t do well. They aren't improving as much as we have expected from them," Salauddin added.
Tamim, Soumya and Mithun didnt justify their name in the World Cup and in the Sri Lanka series. Tamim and Soumya have been out of form for a long time. But still they are getting the chances, Salahuddin said
Tamim has played 11 matches so far since the World Cup. He has scored 254 runs at an average of 25.40 with one half century. On the other hand, Soumya has scored 192 runs in 10 matches with an average of 19.20
Mithun is also struggling with the bat. Since the Ireland series he has scored 129 runs in seven matches, his average is 18.42. Salauddin believes, they are talented but they are not performing as per expectation.
