Mushfiqur Rahim fought against the tide in second ODI with a classical 98 not out, which gave the Bangladesh’s innings  respectability. Even though he ended up losing the match by seven wickets, Mushfiqur got huge accolade for his one-man show. 

But the gloveman said, his innings against Sri Lanka isn’t special for him because it came in the losing cause.

Mushfiq played a tremendous innings when wickets were tumbling  at the other end. Mushfiq came to the crease at the ninth over. He stayed on to the crease till the last ball of the innings and played and unbeaten 98 runs innings from 110 balls with six fours and a six. Mushfiq's fighting innings gave Bangladesh a respectable total of 238 runs. But Sri Lanka chased that down pretty easily as Bangladesh bowlers failed to pick up early wickets. 

"As the team lost this innings isn't special to me. But I think In Sha Allah in the next match we have another chance to do well. We are representing Bangladesh, it’s a matter of pride. In Sha Allah we will try to win the next match," said Mushfiq at the post-match press conference. 

Mushfiq had the chance to score the eighth century but he took single and gave Mustafizur Rahman strike at the penultimate delivery. Mushfiq said, he wanted to take two in that delivery but the ball went straight to the fielder.
