Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga will retire from the ODI cricket after playing the first match of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. This match will be played on July 26 and all of the tickets for this match were sold out two days before the match. People don't want to miss the last match of this Lankan legend. They want to say good-bye to this legend with a jampacked stadium.
The tickets of the July 26 match were sold out two days ago and people were seen sitting beside the ticket counter for the ticket of this historical match one day before the match.

Sri Lanka Cricket board published the ticket of this match on July 23 and all the tickets were sold out in just 24 hours. People don’t want to miss the chance of seeing the third highest wicket taker of Sri Lanka for the last time in the ODI jersey.
Before Malinga many Lankan players said good bye to cricket in Lankan soil. But its the first time tickets are sold two days ago. Malinga's retirement announcement obviously increased the interest among the people about this match.
Although Sri Lanka wanted to play him the whole series Malinga wanted to give chance to the youngsters that's why he doesn't want to play more than one match. Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne talked about this in the pre-match press conference.
"I spoke to him and requested him to play three ODI's and finish it off with the series, but he said he wants to play one game in Sri Lanka and wants to give chance to the youngsters. Someone for the World Cup. That's his plan," Said Dimuth.
Malinga's retirement match will start at 3 pm (BD Time) and the match will be played at Colombo's Premadasa stadium.
