Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has eyed to return in the Test fold, putting his disappointment of not playing the World Cup to the rest.
The right arm pacer is currently preparing himself for the BCB XI who is in contention to play against a couple of four-day day against Ranji Trophy team Karnataka in this July. The tour is seen as the Tigers preparation for the Test series in Indian soil in November.
Taskin believes it’s a great opportunity for him to get back into the Test squad of the national team by performing well in this series. But the fast bowler also knows how strong India is in their own backyard and it won’t be easy by any means.

“I will try my best to put up a good performance. Because there is a lot of Test cricket ahead. We are going to India on July 7. It’s a four day tournament and it will be very challenging,” said Taskin.
“I have realized one thing whenever I went to India, with A team or with national team is that India is a very tough side to beat in their home condition. It’s very difficult for the opposition to win against them. It will be challenging to play against them. I will try my best to do well so that I can be back into the national team once again and perform well,” added Taskin.
After making his Test debut against New Zealand in January 2017, Taskin played five Test matches so far in his career and claimed seven wickets.
He played his last Test against South Africa at September 2017. He was on course to play the 2019 New Zealand series but at the last moment he missed the series by being injured in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
As he failed to recover in time, he also missed to make the cut in World Cup.
However he is determined now to get back into the Test squad with an eye catching performance.
