The most reliable opener of Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal said that he has a lot of expectation on himself. By saying so, he also admits that he has been unable to live up to those expectations so far in this World Cup.
“The people of my country expect a lot from me. I have a lot of expectations from myself also. I haven’t fulfilled it so far. But I am hopeful that I will be back on my best very soon. “ Tamim quoted to Kalerkontho.

In a recent interview for Kalerkontho, Tamim Iqbal urged his supporters to remain calm in this situation and support him in this troublesome time. He promised them that the good things will come.
“The message I want to give everyone is that, please keep patience. Good times will come. Then I will do well. “ He added.
Tamim Iqbal has a whopping average of 52.35 from June 2015 and prior to this World Cup. He has scored 5 centuries in that period; he has established himself as a World class opener. But in this World Cup he is in a spot of bother, he has an average of 19.66 in the first three matches of this World cup. Which doesn’t justify his talent at all.
And Tamim firing Bangladesh team is also in a spot of bother, as they are at the 8th position of the table, with just one win in their first three matches. To reach the semifinal Bangladesh may need to four more matches, which would be very tough without Tamim being back at his best.
