Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes insisted that the visitors are frustrated as they are yet to have any competitive cricket despite completing opening two days of the second Test match.
Persistent rain on Saturday had washed out the second day’s play as well between New Zealand and Bangladesh as they are pitted against each other playing the second Test of the three-match series at Wellington.
The second Test completed two successive days without a ball being bowled at Basin Reserve while the toss hasn't taken place yet.

“It’s very frustrating for everybody really,’’ he said. “I have been there [ in the venue] on the early morning of both days and tried to keep players back in the hotel to keep them fresh and relaxed and then coming here at some point of time so that means there is not so much hanging around,’’ he said.
“I think we are ok we are in a good spot and we did a little bit of practice today. So I think the preparation is also going quite well,’’ he said.
Rhodes added that despite the possibility of beginning the second Test on Saturday was discussed as it was believed that the ground can be prepared to host forty minutes of cricket match officials did the right thing by deciding against it.
“Maybe at a certain point of time the umpires felt that with 40 minutes of play it is certainly going to be unfair to one of the team So they decided to start again tomorrow and I think that was the right call,’’ said Rhodes.
“I think it’s [not playing on the second day] best for both team because it would have been truly unfair for one team to bat for 40 minutes,’’ he said adding that he is not convinced that the third day’s game will end uninterruptedly.
“But let’s see how weather remains tomorrow because I am not sure about the forecast but I think there is some rain around again tomorrow,’’ he concluded.
