Persistent rain on Saturday had washed out the second day’s play as well between New Zealand and Bangladesh as they are pitted against each other playing the second Test of the three-match series at Wellington.
The second Test completed two successive days without a ball being bowled at Basin Reserve while the toss hasn't taken place yet.
However, all is not lost according to the weather forecast as there is a distinct possibility that the weather will be a lot clearer tomorrow that will certainly break the deadlock.
At least appearance wise the wicket suggest that it will produce a result in three days if it if it is possible to start the game from tomorrow.

Bangladesh is yet to win a Test in New Zealand and they certainly need to punch above their weight to be competitive but they can certainly take confidence from their Asian neighbour.
Sri Lankans fought back hard in the second essay - thanks to the 274-run unbeaten stand between Angelo Mathews and Kusal Mendis - and salvaged a well-deserved draw during the last time Basin Reserve hosted a Test match against a visiting Asian side.
In Wellington two years ago, Bangladesh lost despite their heroics with the willow as they posted 595 runs in their first innings on the back of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim century.
Though both Shakib and Mushfiqur are not in this Test match as they are recovering from their respective injuries Bangladesh put up a strong show with the bat in their second innings at Hamilton on the back of Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah centuries despite losing the game by an innings and 52 runs.
Their performance can certainly will they serve as catalysts for the tourists as they seek a quick turnaround and in order to make it possible they need to make sure they do well in the first innings as their performance in the first innings forced them to suffer an innings defeat in Hamilton.
The visitors can heave a sigh of relief as they are not sweating over on the fitness of Tamim Iqbal, who has a groin niggle as he is fit to play the second Test.
“Tamim should be fine,’’ said Rhodes adding that he is hoping his charges will be fired up once they get down on the ground to give the host a run for their money.
“As you can see lots of wind, lots of rain. Hopefully, guys will get a little bit of rest and freshen up,’’ Rhodes concluded.
