Andre Russell could join the West Indies squad for the last three ODIs against England. Russell wrote in his official Instagram: ‘So happy to be back in the #westindiescolors #hardwork #dedication’; that indicates his returning back to the Caribbean ODI squad in the ongoing series against England. But the West Indies Cricket board (CWI) has not officially announced yet.
Earlier, a prominent cricket-based online portal hinted on February 19 that after the return of Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo, dashing all-rounder Andre Russell could also join the squad after the first two of the five ODIs against England. The CWI announced this series as their preparation first camp ahead of the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 scheduled to be held in England.

Russell, earlier, informed CWI that his knee wasn't able to get through 50-over cricket but it has improved faster than was anticipated. However, instead of adding him to the T20 squad the board wants to include him for the final three ODIs.
The all-rounder, who recently concluded the Bangladesh Premier League season for Dhaka Dynamites, is now playing for Multan Sultans. The all-rounder will join later Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Indian Premier League scheduled to start from March 23.
A T20 specialist with over 4,400 runs and 250 wickets, Russell played last of his 52 ODIs in July 2018 against Bangladesh. He has scored 998 runs and taken 65 wickets so far.
