On the day four, the visitors declared the innings on 361 for five. They batted for only 5.2 overs, adding 36 runs to their overnight total. Root, who knocked his 16th Test ton last day, added some more runs before his departure. Buttler scored 56 before bowled by Roach while the captain was removed by Gabriel for 122. But, Ben Stokes was unbeaten for 48.
However, the hosts started their innings with a target of 484, but got a early blow when opener Campbell was dismissed by Anderson for the duck. The paceman stroke once again and picked up the other opener Brathwaite for 8. After then, Anderson sent back Darren Bravo (0) while Shai Hope (14) was dismissed by Mark wood.

Shane Dowrich (19), Kemar Roach (29), Alzarri Joseph (34) were removed by Moeen Ali, but Roston Chase was still unbeatable and knocked a ton. Unfortunately, the Caribbeans innings ended on 252 when the last two Shannon Gabriel (3), Keemo Paul (12) were dismissed Stokes. Roston Chase was 102 not out. Anderson claimed 3-27, while spinner Moeen Ali picked up 3-99 for England. Mark Wood, who picked up five wickets in the first innings, clinched one wicket in the second innings.
