Rangpur Riders coach Tom Moody said that he is not ready to compare Bangladesh Premier League with Indian Premier League in terms of their growth and popularity he feels it’s not very far away as far as competitiveness is concerned.
‘’Look I am not going to put BPL and the other tournament in order. I think it’s a guessing game,’’ said Moody.

‘’To be honest they are all very unique in their own right. I think we can 100% confirm that is the IPL is the number one tournament in the world, for all the reasons we know,’’ he said.
‘’But BPL no doubt over the recent past gathering considerable momentum and is toughest tournament outside of the IPL. Its growing with regard to the quality of cricketers coming here, it's growing regards to the improvement of the domestic players and it will continue to grow with regards to the facilities making sure the wickets are all world class,’’ he said.
Moody believes that the biggest impact of BPL will be the growth of local cricketers as he feels that they are enriched through sharing the dressing room with some world class cricketers.
“I think what we will see increasingly over the coming years, is the improvement of the local players. When they sharing a dressing room, or a practice environment or a game scenario with world class players, you can't help but improve,’’ said Moody.
‘’You watch and observe how they play, practice, prepare, you have good conversations around breakfast table, dinner tables and everyone's going to benefit. So we will see, not only this year, in the coming years as well, the growth of local players here in Bangladesh,’’ he added.
