Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan said they will have to work extremely hard to clinch the two-match Test series against West Indies but insisted that they are not taking any extra-pressure to earn it.
The Tigers will be eyeing to win the second Test at Dhaka from Friday as it will help them earn the series by a clear margin courtesy their 64-run win in the two-match series opener at Chittagong.
“There is a chance [of a whitewash], but that requires hard work,” Shakib told reporters at the pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“Naturally, the Windies team will be eager to do better. They will try hard to do well and to win. We will have to perform better if we want to win.
“To win here, we’ll have to perform better than we did in Chittagong. We also have a challenge for ourselves. I believe we can overcome this challenge. We’ll have to be mentally strong and physically tough in order to do that.”
Shakib has seen a pretty relaxed dressing room which proves that they are not taking any pressure on their shoulders ahead of the series.
“I do not think there is any extra pressure. From what I have seen in the dressing room over the last two days, everyone is very relaxed. It’s is a very good situation,” said Shakib.
“We have the confidence that a team needs before the start of a match. I think the environment in the dressing room is very good. Hopefully, we can keep it for the next few days of the Test,” he added.
