West Indies spinner Jomel Warrican said on Wednesday that they are eyeing to change history by winning against the hosts in the last Test in Dhaka.
Bangladesh have not defeated West Indies in a Test series since 2009 and will be looking forward to change their fortune when they take on the visitors in the series-deciding last Test following a 1-0 lead, courtesy a 64-run win over Windies in Chittagong in the two-match Test series opener.
“They have not won [a Test series] for a while and they will be keen to win the series. But we will try to come and win the last Test to make sure we’ll draw the series,” Warrican told reporters at Dhaka on Wednesday.

“We want to leave with a win and don’t want to lose the series. If we draw the series from here it will be a bonus for us as a unit. So that’s the plan before going into this match. It matters that we have a belief on ourselves as a unit and also backing ourselves to win a game,” he said.
“It’s a must-win situation for us. Ending the series with a win and back at their home is something that will fit for us. So, as a unit we are confident still although we lost the first Test. We have been adjoined together and coming back together as a strong team and looking forward together to win the game,” he added.
Warrican added that they have to be much disciplined with both bat and ball at Mirpur considering it will be spin-friendly that is expected to take a test of their character.
“Obviously Mirpur wicket will spin again. So we have to control act with spin. We have to be positive and we have a game plan and execute the batting better in the wicket,” said Warrican adding that their bowlers need bowl better than what they did earlier.
“The whole Bangladeshi batsmen plays spin very well. For us, we have to be disciplined and taking our chances and if you do that it will be a lot different game,” he added.
