Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam said on Monday that he is not very interested in going for the wickets rather believe if he can containing the batsman it will help him in the long run.
Taijul continued his superb run of form this year as it was his fourth five-wicket haul in the last three Tests when he picked six wicket in the second inning against West Indies as the visitors folded for 139 in chase of a 204-run target.

‘’Whether it’s a four-man spin attack or two-man spin attack I always concentrate on run-check bowling,’’ Taijul told reporters at Dhaka on Wednesday.
‘’I just wanted to contain the batsman. Even if you don’t pick wickets if you are checking the runs it will help the bowlers from the other end to pick wickets. Cricket is such a game that someone will pick wickets while will stop the flow of runs. I just wanted to follow my process. Getting wickets is something that has got lot to do with fate,’’ he said.
Taijul grabbed 40 wickets from just six games and it puts him fourth in the list of wicket-takers in Tests this year, six wickets behind South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada, who leads the table with 46 scalps from nine matches.
Taijul, who picked up maiden five-wicket haul on his Test debut against West Indies four years ago have successfully established him as one of the most important members of the Bangladesh Test side.
