A run-fest saw the Bangladesh Cricket League clash between BCB North Zone and Islami Bank East Zone end in a stalemate.

Although East Zone failed to take a lead in the first innings when they were all-out for 443 runs on the fourth and final day, there was not much left for North Zone to create any chance to make use of their 2-run lead.

East Zone’s lower middle-order put up a rescue act to avoid the follow-on threat and finished at 380/7 at the end of the third day’s play. Farhad Reza and Enamul Haque Jnr resumed their unbroken 63-run stand on day-four and stretched it to 107 runs.

Reza made 85 runs before becoming Shoriful Islam’s only scalp in the innings. Enamul went on to pick up his half-century and got out for 51 runs.

North Zone totaled 270 runs losing four of their wickets in the second innings, with Farhad Hossain belting a hundred while Junaid Siddque and Sabbir Rahman raised a fifty each.

Naeem Islam was the Man of the Match for 137-run knock in the first innings. He became a run-out victim in the second innings, scoring 29 runs.
