Mosharraf leads Central Zone fightback

||Desk Report||
Prime Bank South Zone failed to capitalize on their start as they were bundled out for 281 runs, after Walton Central Zone were wrapped up for 282 runs in the first innings in Bangladesh Cricket League.
Shahriar Nafees and Anamul Haque resumed South Zone’s innings at 29/0, on day-two. The top three batsmen of the team provided the kind of start the team needed to take a healthy lead.
After sharing a 72-run stand with Anamul (31), Nafees formed another 79-run partnership with Fazle Mahmud. Once the partnership was broken – with Nafees getting out for 71 runs – a procession ensued.

Mosharraf Hossain took four wickets in quick succession, scything through the opponents’ middle-order.
Fazle stood firm at one end and fell just six runs short of a hundred when Robiul Haque made him the ninth man out.
Rubel Hossain played an innings of 30 runs in an attempt to match the total of Central Zone but became Abu Hider’s only scalp, giving the opponents a one-run lead.
Shahidul Islam and Robiul picked up two-wickets each in the first innings. Shahidul Islam also got a wicket to his name, but it was Mosharraf’s four-for that helped Central Zone claw their way back in the match.
Central Zone batted for two overs and posted two run without losing any wicket. Liton Das and Saif Hassan will resume the team’s second batting innings on the third day.
