Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan confirmed that Mashrafe Mortaza will feature in the three-ODI series against West Indies, though there is a possibility that he might miss one game.
The Bangladesh skipper was doubtful for the 50-over series as he would be busy with the election campaign at that time, ahead of the 11th parliamentary elections which will be held on December 30.

However, with the ODIs scheduled to take place on 9, 11, and 14 December, Mashrafe is likely to make space for the matches in his schedule though he might not be able to play all three matches.
“As we’ve discussed so far, Mashrafe will definitely play if there is any game. So, cricket is his top priority; the same goes for us.
“Still, there is no guarantee that everything will happen according to my words. He might miss a match due to some unavoidable circumstances. But we believe that Mashrafee will play all the matches. Let’s see what happens,” the BCB president told reporters upon his return from Lahore following ACC's general meeting.
Shakib Al Hasan has already returned to action and will be part of the team throughout the entire series.
Tamim Iqbal, on the other hand, sustained a side strain while rehabilitating the wrist injury and hence will have to delay his return. However, he too could be seen donning the Red and Green jersey in the ODI series.
