The West Indies batsmen had a good outing as they scored 303/6 against BCB XI on the first day of the two-day practice game at the MA Aziz Stadium.
West Indies won the toss and amassed the huge total on the back of two half-centuries scored by Shai Hope and Keemo Paul.
Hope made unbeaten 88 runs while Paul scored 78 runs to bolster the confidence of the visitors ahead of their upcoming series comprising with two Tests, three ODIs, and T20Is against Bangladesh.

Nayeem Hasan picked up two wickets for BCB XI while Soumya Sarkar, Fazle Rabbi, Rubel Hossain, and Shafiul Islam took one scalp apiece.
Paul was looking for a well-deserved hundred before Zakir Hasan took a sharp catch that was deflected by Soumya Sarkar's hand after it arrived at him courtesy deflection of Liton Kumar Das’ gloves as he failed to grab the catch.
Soumya believes that the Tigers cannot take anything for granted as the host looked to be well prepared considering their long stay in India.
“Our spinners have been bowling well from place to place. They [West Indies] have also been handling well. Those who are bowling are all quality bowlers. Hopefully, they will bowl better in the match,’’ Soumya told reporters after the match.
“They were prepared that way as they have arrived after playing in India for a long time or since they have been facing spin. They're doing well. If we can still bowl quality deliveries, they won’t be able to survive to this extent,” he added.
