West Indies skipper Craig Braithwaite said that there are confident to looking excel against Bangladesh in the upcoming series as familiarity breeds confidence for them after their recent tour of India.
Windies squad arrived in two contingents with the first bunch of players reaching Dhaka on Wednesday and the rest arriving on Thursday.
The only setback for the visitors ahead of the tour came through the shoulder injury of skipper Jason Holder that ruled him out of the entire tour.
Windies play Bangladesh in the Asian country in two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is starting from November 22, and Holder is replaced by Braithwaite for the Test.

The visitors can take confidence from the fact that Bangladesh were largely troubled by the Zimbabwean pace bowlers in the just concluded series while they are more adapted to counter the spinners of their opposition as their Test members of the West Indies Test squad were based in India after completing their duties to get acclimatized with the condition.
Though West Indian failed to shine in the Test series according to the interim skipper the experience in that series would stand them in good stead for this one.
“I think it's quite similar to India, so that is good for us. Also we have a game coming so that could give us a feel of the conditions here,’’ Braithwaite told reporters at Chattogram after their first practice session.
‘’We are a balanced team. Spinners will do a good job. We have world-class pacers and I think as a team both in batting and bowling, we are equipped to do our job,’’ he said
Braithwaite decided not to take any extra pressure of expectation on their own shoulder when his attention was drawn regarding favourites.
."Cricket is played on the day, so whichever way it goes on the day,’’ said Braithwaite.
‘’We are looking forward [to the series]," "It won't be an easy series but we will be working hard,’’ he added. Windies will also play a two-day warm-up match against a BCB XI side at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram from November 18 before the first Test that will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The second Test will be played at Sher-e Bangla National Stadium from November 30.
The three-match ODI series will start on December 9 in Mirpur while the remaining two matches will be held on December 11 and 14 in Mirpur and Sylhet respectively.
The first Twenty20 international match will be held on December 17 in Sylhet while Sher-e Bangla will host the remaining Twenty20s on December 20 and 22 respectively.
