Mominul doesn’t care for a double ton!

With an epic 161, which he rated as one of his best centuries, Mominul Haque now has three 150 plus knock under his belt, the highest amongst the Bangladesh batsmen.
As he scored his maiden century, a 181-run knock, which is still his highest Test score, Mominul’s panache for big hundred is well known.

Before this 161, his previous 100 plus score was 176 against Sri Lanka earlier this year. Despite his knack for a big hundred, a double century continued eluding him what raised a question repeatedly whether nerves get the better of him.
Mominul chose to reply light heartedly in the wake of the question, “If Bangladesh are chasing 350-400 runs, maybe then I will get my double-hundred,” he quipped.
But what Mominul believed that the hunger for runs only would increase if he doesn’t get past the feat so easily.
“It is not about myself or my runs, it is mainly for the team. I think it is better if my double-hundred comes later, then my hunger will keep increasing. I think if I get it too soon, my hunger will be met,” he said.
