Sri Lanka off-spinner Akila Dananjaya has been reported for a suspect bowling action following the first Test against England in Galle.
The match officials’ report cited concerns about the legality of Danajaya’s bowling action. The report was handed over to the Sri Lankan team management and the 25-year-old’s bowling action will now be scrutinized further under the ICC process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions reported in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.

Dananjaya has played 50 international matches for Sri Lanka across formats. He took two wickets in the opening Test against England.
The right-handed spinner now requires to undergo testing within 14 days. However, he can continue playing for the national team until the results are known.
Sri Lanka will go into the second Test in Pallekele trailing 0-1 in the three-match series. The second match will start on Wednesday (November 14). The third and final Test will start on November 23 in Colombo.
