We should win when Mustafiz comes back: Ariful

Bangladesh batsman Ariful Haque said that it is do-or-die game for them when they will take on the Zimbabwe in the series deciding last Test scheduled to start on November in Dhaka.
According to Ariful, the presence of Mustafizur Rahman will have a huge impact on the outcome of the next game. The left-hander was sidelined due to an elbow injury when the hosts were humbled by Zimbabwe by 151 runs to trail in the two-match Test series by 1-0 margin.
“There is no pressure on us. Our main bowler [Mustafizur] did not play the match and we should win when he comes back,” he said.
“It is do or die for us and we have to win the match.
“If we think too much about the next match, we will be down morally. So, we will not think much. We will just focus on the match on a ball-to-ball basis. It will not be difficult to win the match against Zimbabwe if we could play team-game and positive game,” he added.
Ariful, who is known to be medium pacer and was taken into the side as a second seam bowler, said he is always ready to bowl if the situation demands and learn a trick or two to excel in bowling as well.
“I am also working on bowling. Actually that was not a wicket for bowling. I would have bowled if th wicket favored [my bowling]. I have to bowl well in domestic circuit. If I could do well in BPL, I will then get more chance to bowl for the national team,” said Ariful.
Ariful added that he is prepared to bat with the tail-enders as that was the case in NCL as well.
“I always bat with the tail-enders in Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) and National Cricket League (NCL). At that time, planning remains different. You might have to play four balls and leave a ball or two for your partner. Actually you can’t expect more from them. They also try to give me strike,” said Ariful.
